  • @Redpill2011 "Salmonella was lower in certified-organic birds than in conventionally raised birds, and the prevalence of antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella was also higher in conventionally raised birds than in certified-organic birds." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20617937 "There was no significant difference in the prevalence of Salmonella spp between conventional and organic farms ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15344365

  • @Redpill2011 "E. coli prevalence in certified organic produce was 4.3%, a level not statistically different from that in conventional samples." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15151224 "bacteriological quality, and the occurrence of selected pathogenic bacteria from organically grown Iceberg lettuce""No difference in bacteriological quality could be detected in lettuce at harvest after application of various types of manure-based fertilizers" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15012817

  • @Redpill2011 "There have been many claims that eating organic foods increases exposure to micro-biological contaminants. Studies investigating these claims have found no evidence to support them. It is important to realize that all organic foods must meet the same quality and safety standards applied to conventional foods" fao.org/organicag/oa-faq/oa-faq4/en/

  • @Redpill2011 Most food related E.coli infections are caused by conventionally produced foods. Dozens of studies suggest that conventional foods were more likely to carry E.coli. Also the same Is found for Salmonella infections. I will post several studies when I get a chance. Most of your arguments are not based on the majority of scientific evidence, they are based a Penn and Teller episode or some study done by John Stossel, which aren`t credible. Anti-Organic = Anti-Science!

  • @myndy86 "Potentially"

In actuality the E.Coli outbreak was spread by organic food.

  • @michael0156 Fantastic. I'm going to ignore you for now.

  • @Redpill2011 FAO says about bacteria on organic food "It can be concluded that organic farming potentially reduces the risk of E.coli infection" fao.org/docrep/meeting/X4983e.htm#c2

Most studies suggest organically produced food generally contains LESS or equal amounts of harmful bacteria than conventionally produced food. I belong to an organic co-op and I generally pay less for organic produce compared to conventional produce at a supermarket.

  • redpill shills for biotech corps. Nothing he says can be considered untainted by his quest to destroy the oprganic market & push the agenda to genetically engineer every food crop on the planet so farmers can pay technology fees for every acre of land growing crops

Biotech crops are the most contaminated of any food we have ever produce in the history of mankind. 2 types of insecticide grown inside the crops, chemical insecticide still sprayed on them, herbicide contamination, poorer nutrition

  • @Redpill2011 Buying oranic is a CHOICE many more people make every day. The benefits of organic growing practices are MANY & IMMEDIATE. ZERO pollution- ZERO contamination of farmland, crops, watersheds- Increased nutrition in foods grown in LIVE SOILS- Increased health & peace of mind in amny individuals concerned about the poisons we have been spraying on crops and now force crops to grow inside the crop

Organic is growing at about 20% per year. The wave of the present & future

  • @myndy86 3) Marketing and the distribution chain for organic products are relatively inefficient, and costs are higher because of relatively small volumes. 4) The organic food supply is limited as compared to demand.

    Organic is expensive. QED.
