Queen of Film Noir Lizabeth Scott sings for the first time on television in "The Big Record." The show is hosted by bubbly Patti Page. Lizabeth sings the song "He Is A Man" from her 1958 album "Lizabeth" released on Vic Records. Clip includes Oldsmobile promo and opening titles.
The recording is not the TV show- the recording is from her album- Picklepuss slotted it in. Good job!

1958 GM cars really sucked and I say that as someone whose dad only bought GM cars.
They kept this model "look" for only a year and then got rid of it in 1959.
The Olds and Buick were especially hideous; the Chevy wallowed along like a garbage scow.

I believe she is lip-syncing to the record. I didn't know they did that on 50s tv.

A really good voice. Still typecast, however. The song sounds just like the mood and sentiment of so many of her tragic film characters.

nice dub on the music audio, since it was a lip sinc. This program was recorded in color early on... most copies are destroyed, including sam cooke's appearance. it's a shame that a kinescope is all that's left. the original sound and picture was much better.

Wow! What a voice- reminds me of Peggy Lee. Why didn't she sing more on film? Is the LP on CD? Simply excellent!
