Yeah, I decided to write this for for a Jazz Band/Orchestra group. I used Finale to write the music and I saved as a MP3 file. It sounds really good on a computer. But, the one you here now isn't so great. The balance got screwed.

It's based on the old song by Nat Simon. And although it's not exactly the same, I think I kept the original feel of it.

Features Trumpet and Trombone. The sections with the bass line and high hat are meant for solos. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a live band playing this. Enjoy :)

  • my mom is greek and my dad is turkish. you people just have to stop arguing on youtube about something that happened decades ago. and Turkey is the only one country where muslim people with brains live, so shut the hell up with your jihad bullshit.

  • I'm not Greek or Turksih, but you people should all get a life. Who cares what happened years ago? It wasnt even the people your abusing. You can't group people by their religion. Just because there have been some bad Muslims in the past, dosn't mean they all are. And who's to say there has never been a bad Greek Othodox?

    That's Right.

So just shutup and enjoy the God damn song!

  • @Simbabbad 1453-1900s it was still konstantiniye (constantinople). after the world war 1 turkish people wanted to change the greek name to a turkish one. ( who can blame turks? they have been attacked by greeks .why they wanna keep a greek name?)

  • THIS IS İSTANBULLLLLLLLLLLL SİNCE-1453 FATİH SULTAN MEHMET I LOVE YOU İSTANBULLL

  • All this arguing is missing the point.

WHY has Constantinople been renamed Istanbul? THAT is what really matters.

  • Finally, whether you call it Konstantinoupolis or Istanbul (from Greek eis tin polin, pronounced "eis tim bolin"), one cannot deny the fact that along with an Ottoman past, the city also has a Byzantine (hint : Greek/Hellenic) past, and to this day is the "Vatican" of Orthodox Christianity. You have Hagia Sophia, the symbol of Orthodoxy, accross from Sultanahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), symbolising Istanbul's two faces, in a city that spans over two continents and has the heritage of two cultures.

  • Anyways, you run into a very small number of Turks on some of Greece's islands, (many of which are geographically closer to mainland Turkey than to mainland Greece). Even though their side of the Aegean looks exactly the same and is just as beautiful, these Turks seem to come to the Greek islands to bond with their neighbours, and experience their culture and learn more about them. They are always greeted very warmly by their Greek hosts.

  • I was vacationing on the island of Chios where I met a Turkish couple from Cesme who have befriended a Greek lady there whom they have been buying mastic from for the last ten years (mastic production has decreased considerably on Turkey's Cesme Peninsula for some reason). They have all become very good friends.

  • Turks and Greeks are both Mediterranean people, and in spite of the difference in religion, their cuisine, devotion to family, and even certain cultural attitudes (fear of the evil eye) are similar.

  • @ArizonaKnightWolf

Blagogojevich is Serbian Orthodox, not Greek Orthodox, but what does his Orthodox faith have to do with his politics? There are corrupt politicians in every religion.
