i LOVE cyndi lauper, but i cant dig girls singin a beatles tune...none have ever grabbed me, unfortunately.

I WOULD HAVE really liked this version except that her singing was incredibly sloppy, sounded like she had marbles in her mouth or something. Beatles version each and every single word is clearly enunciated.
Also the jagger-esque pronunciation of MEE being sung as may' is annoying here. I like the guitar mix better here than on the original, where it is too far in the background
