This was from a benefit for The Dave Clark Five's Mike Smith, put together by Paul Shaffer, which also featured The Zombies, Billy J Kramer, Denny Laine and a reuniting of Peter & Gordon. Fab Jack Petruzzelli couldn't be present that night, so we carried on with Rob Arthur substituting (playing bass here). The energy in the room was electric!

  • wow, love the megaphone.

  • Fantastic job, guys!!!

  • Wow!!!! Considering all the tracking that George Martin had to do to create that psychedelic choir of Tibetan monks for John Lennon, this performance is astounding, and something I'd never dreamt could be performed live. The Fab Faux are fantastic!

  • They do a good job of "playing" the squiggly backward tape loops in the original.

  • @dytakeda Well, since in almost every other video he's playing bass.....

  • @gtrmu How much does Will Lee play?

  • @dytakeda Yes it is. When they perform this live Jack plays bass on it.

  • The Fab Faux is THE best and they are as close you can get to The Beatles! Whoever they have substituting for whichever Lad, the musician is ALWAYS freaking awesome!

  • Considering the source material (I mean come on, will anyone be able to perfectly replicate that song?), you guys did a fucking fantastic job! You guys are the only people amazing enough to do Beatles covers!

  • First! (I know it's stupid...) Who's playing bass? Is that Rob Arthur? But he's subbing for Jack Petruzzelli. I'm confused.

And the Zombies belong in the R&R Hall of Fame!
