What do you mean when you say "get over it"? Can marriage be between a man and a man or a woman and a woman?

Isn't that what I said? Marriage's purpose is so that two people can become one flesh. That only happens in the conception of their children. This can not happen in a "HOMOSEXUAL" relationship.

If the purpose of marriage from your perspective is to conceive children, then should marriage be outlawed to straight couples that can't have children, including seniors, adults with dysfunctional reproductive organs and adults who willfully abstain from having children? Also, why do you capitalize and put quotes around the word homosexual in describing gay relationships?

Quotes were only to emphasize "Homosexuality" itself defines "no offspring" possible. You would have to go outside of a committed homosexual relationship to have children (and have a hetrosexual relationship). The purpose of marriage (to have children) does not change due to inability or choice of the few. We are all here because of the sexual union of a man and a woman. If you and others were true to your homosexual relationship, you would have no children.

How is having no children being true to a gay relationship? I haven't seen someone emphasize the word homosexuality with quotes before to define it as no offspring. Is the purpose of marriage based on only one aspect (ability to naturally procreate) even though there's more to bearing and raising children that cuts across the line of sexual orientation? Are you prejudiced against gay people whether due to the inability to naturally procreate or more, and to the point of discriminating them?

New Hampshire, which has many Republicans, has same sex marriage and liberal California does not. I thought that Jerry Brown would be using his bully pulpit to advocate for it. Sean, great that you are back.

Years ago I thought that California would be the first state to have full rights for everyone. Iowa of all places has same sex marriage and California still does not.
