@SrFlagelador he may have exagerated a little but it is true franco controled the referees in spain and that real madrid was always favored when needed...i never lived through those days but there are registered facts of this, and u can see that the real madrid fan by culture tends to complain when in fact they were favored, example the 1-1 2011 in the bernabéu, clear penalty on villa the ref doesn't see, a wrong penalty on alves(marcelo dive) and they say they've been cheated in that match...

you clearly know nothing about Franco regime and Spanish history...now learn about 1958 "pacto de estabilidad", the rise of Bernabeu and the creation of the European Championship. learn about the spanish 60s...turism, and dictatorishp propaganda. put it all together and you will see why from 60s to 90s barcelona has only 2 leagues while Madrid has 20 out of 30.
