i love sandbox games

messing around in shores of hazeron, a sandbox mmo with unimpressive graphics but some interesting game play. Its not for everyone and has a pretty steep learning curve. I still have no idea how to do a lot in the game, but I am having fun just messing around. On a side note...I wish more big companies would step up to the plate and actually make games they would want to play for a long time and quit copying the same fast money crappy quality theme park game over and over again. I want tab target to become a thing of the past. I want the developer theme park craze to die. I want sand, a box and enough toys to give me some real depth, fun and open ended play.

Completely agree with your statements in description. In my mind, before I played WoW for the first time, an MMORPG was a sandbox - it was part of the MMO genre. But Blizzard decided to McDonaldise MMO's and we got the themepark. The majority of todays MMO's are little more than regular RPG's with fancy graphical multiplayer lobbies.
