First time I've seen someone using oil in halwa. Based on my knowledge of cooking, this is purely nonsense. 'Don't try this so called hawa, if you don't want to be scolded by your mum for doing this horrible stuff !' This lady need to attend cooking class before loading on Youtube.

wow, thats an intresting way to make it, i usually make it while frying the suji flour first than adding the water. i will try this one. looks good.=)

Thank you for the recipe. I tried it and it turned out well but I found that the quantity of oil could've been much less
(1/2-3/4 cup).

I personally have always used butter to make halwa it interesting you have used oil i have never seen that before - can where can i purchase the silver leaf from ? thanks for sharing lol xx

Ofcourse it'll be more tasty if you use butter or ghee,but for healthier reasons we have used oil,with oil is also not too bad.silver warq are available from any indian/pakistani store,

Its not a stupid question,infact its a good question,yes these silver werq(silver leaf) are 100% safe to eat.

Its called silver leaf or chandi ka werq,and it should be available in any pakistani/indian store.
