  • I wish someone would post the longer version. I remember lyrics like "You can make them think that you live in the sun-- all year long". And some of the harmony was much richer.

  • I was 10 years old when these commercials came out. I loved Andrea and used to stare at her picture for hours and hours wishing I looked like her! I spent many times at the beach waiting for two good-looking guys to put me on a surfboard. It never happened. Andrea, if you are reading this, I wish the very best for you. You were the face of the 60's in the US.

  • Yes, this was Andrea Dromm's (the blond featured in the ad) first commercial appearance. She subsequently had a saucy "spokeschick" role in spots for National Airlines (check 'em out, they're up on Youtube) as well as a part in the second Star Trek pilot and appearances in two movies, before she permanently retired from showbiz at the tender age of 26. She's now 68 and living in Manhasset, Long Island with her 91 year old mom.

  • Super Cool!! I used to use this from

    the 60s till 90s.

  • Later packaging included a blonde girl and Nick Nolte on the front to emphasize that this could be used by men too.

  • Such a shame that "blonde" has taken such a negative connotation these days...wonder how many boomer girls did that to their hair in the 60s for that "summer-bright, sunny-light summer look...all year long!"?

  • Sure is....I'll never forget that face. Many a childhood fantasy was spent on her.

  • Now that we're into fall, she might as well be a Fall blonde.

  • Haven't seen this one in long time. The girl who was in this one was also in that movie "The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming!" She played Eva Marie Saint's babysitter.
