  • Haha hey nurses if you dont like have 10 pts to 1 become a doer not an asker. Nurse giving blood to funny.

  • @Randomgabeans I truly am curiorious- Whom exactly do you believe administers blood, and why is it that when a pt goes interfacility receiving blood a nurse has to accompany them??

  • Yeah, a Nurse titrating a drip, good luck with that. But at least they gave it a shot with the jokes.

  • @TransCare69 Uhh, and whom do you believe it is that titrates drips? Do you think the MD stands around and titrates the cardizem, dopamine, propofol, nitro, etc. etc?

  • This video is retarded at best. By the way, those other videos are pure genius and in good humor, so get the stick out of your ass.

  • @LASportsFan4Life - Really? Pure genious? Get a sense of humor my friend. BTW- How long have you been a firefighter?

  • You guys are all taking this too seriously. I'm a paramedic AND an RN and I love all the vids. They show the worst in all of us, whichever side of the coin you work on. But we're all still one team. So relax and laugh.

  • Regarding titration: Standing orders in facilities typically allow a wide range of titration to be done autonomously by nurses (especially in ER/ICU settings). It acts in a way similar to transfer functions bestowed upon first responders. As always, careful assessment leads to prudent intervention.

In general I see two professions who have spent the better part of the last century advancing. Kudos to both professions for their leaps and bounds. Each possess a skill set they should be proud of.

  • "I fixed it with albuterol and a smile" lmao

  • @xylos555 you are right to an extent. I have yet to hear of a facility telling a nurse without any pre-hospital experience or certifications go along for the ride but i'm sure it has happened. I know hospitals here call upon critical care trucks with PHRN's (PHRN is Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse for those who don't know) on board. I'm not saying there are not good nurses out there but 99% of us deal with nurse tard on a power trip. All of us deal with tards on both sides.

  • hey nurses have to ask the doc on what needes to be done, while the doc gives use trust us to follow his protocol book and you have an whole hospital to help you with a code and your 10 patients are STABLE

  • What's the difference between a paramedic in the hospital setting and a nurse?? Not much...nurses get paid more and we get shafted when in reality we can do everything just as well as a nurse can.

  • @progeria44 We do things a bit different on the west coast. I don't run into a burning building either, I do a shift on the engine and run the rest on the box...maybe if you weren't such a dismissive douche you'd have a reasonable idea of how Fire works. Have fun wishing for your days as a medic when you finish med school. Tool.

  • @Equus911 F'REAL!!!

  • @Randomgabeans giving blood... ah, yes, that's something RNs do. Who do you think does it? The blood fairy? And we have to watch the patients closely while the blood is being given. Do you know what a bad reaction to a blood transfusion looks like? What a weird comment you made. Very odd indeed.

  • @415FFmedic we work separately from fire completely. Here in NJ you're either a FF or a Paramedic. Paramedics are typically intelligent (our medic programs are the best in the country, and possibly the world) you're making as ass of of yourself assuming i'd risk my life running into a burning building. You're looking at a 23 year old paramedic who just got accepted into medical school. Umad? Yea, Umad

  • @progeria44 Sounds like somebody is just sour grapes because you couldn't make it on Fire. Aren't we supposed to be on the same team? The ER nurse is the true evil in the world...my brother is an OR nurse and even he doesn't know what the hell they do downstairs. Also, get lost, Fire has this call. Nice pants, jerk.

  • as a real Paramedic and not some hose jocky, I like this video. Firefighters dont realize their only job is to put their useless lives on the line to save one of value. Real paramedics couldn't care less about fire and the idiots who pour water on it. Truth hurts huh bro
