protest front of the Syrian embassy in Hamra (Beirut)

On August 2nd 2011, a silent Sit-In was called by leftist and independent activist in front of the syrian embassy of Beirut, Hamra, 5 minutes into the Sit-In Baathist and SSNP thugs from Hamra came to do a counter demo, after about 7 to 8 minutes the Pro-Bashar el Asad thugs started brutally attacking the protestors with belts, canes, and knives along with throwing metal chairs and rocks at the protestors, the result was several injuries some of them severe and others are mild, all of this happened while lebanese security forces near the embassy stood watching and the lebanese police refused to register the complaints of the protestors saying that the thugs who attacked the protestors have a solid political coverage from lebanese political parties.

في الثاني من آب ٢٠١١' قام عدد من الناشطون والناشطات اليساريين/يات والناشطين المستقلين/ات باعتصام رمزي امام السفارة السورية في بيروت يتضامنون فيها مع ثورة الشعب السوري من اجل الحرية والديمقراطية والكرامة' ولم يمر على الاعتصام اكثر من ٥ دقائق حتى قامت مجموعات من حزب البعث السوري والحزب السوري القومي الاجتماعي بالتجمع اما السفارة بتحرك مضاد دعماً لبشار الاسد' وخلال ليس اكثر من 7 دقائق قامت هذه المجموعات بالتعدي بالضرب المبرح على المتظاهرين الداعمين للثورة في سوريا واستعملو العصي والسكامين والحزامات والكراسي المعدنية والحجارة وادى ذلك الى اصابة العديد من المتظاهرين بجروح وباصابات منها البليعة التي تحتاج الى علاج كويل ومنها الرضات الطفيفة' وجرى هذا امام القوى الامنية المتواجد منها عنصرين امام السفارة التي لم تبلغ القوى الامنية ولم تتدخل لحماية المتظاهرين وعندما حاول عدد من المعتصمين بتقديم بلاغ للشرطة تم الاجابة على هذه المحاولة بان من ضرب المتظاهرين لديه غطاء سياسي قوي من قبل احزاب لبنانية

its not that I am pro bashar...but I think syria has a "badil" expet extremists... so btw an extrimist and bashar.. i would say bashar..although I hate what he is doing to his own people...disapointing...
