BNSF Thermite Welding in San Bernardino,CA

Well i was headed over too the station when i noticed some maintenance on the tracks. I walked on over towards the track and the security guard started yelling you cant be here, you dont have authorization! Well luckily the BNSF crew said, Hey he is with us! i was like wow! sweet! They let me watch them and gave me some water and other stuff!

Im a welder in the uk man u got it easy havin all ur equipment on rail - trucks we have to load ours on a trolly and push to out jobs on track...............

When I started in the welding department, we didn't have a shear. You cut the top and sides with a hot cut and a maul.
