Last year I had my gal bladder taken out. I was thirteen and it took the doctors months to even figure out that I had gal stones and that was after my mom suggested it. I went to the hospital and had surgery to remove my gal bladder. Unlickily there were complications. they cut my bowel instead of the gal bladder. I spent a week in the hospital recovering after I had also found out that there is some kind of wall thing that holds your organs in place and apparently I don't have one BIRTH DEFECT!

So can you share any unexpected benefits of the surgery? I just had mine taken out July 7 outside of the iky feeling inside being gone I had dry skin on my forehead for months and that was gone over night. Im curious to see the other positive things that might come from this thank you for sharing your experience.

I have gallbladder surgery on the 29th i was in pain for two years before they finaly found stones. I had the same tests they found the stones in and they thought it was just crysts because it was against the wall of the gall bladder. i later found out the tech should have had me move onto my side not just lay down for the test to see if it moved. anyways hope all is good :)

@Aliwisha1 Yes I had my daughter. After like 4 weeks postpartum I was having this huge pain. It took 4 weeks of ER trips for them to finally figure out what was wrong with me. I went and got an ultrasound done and the tech ran out of the room and 5 doctors swormed in. I was there the next day bright and early. Super scary and ovrewhelming. I was so emotional signing all these papers about death. I just had a baby. But it all went ok.
i got 5 lapracopics incisions because i had something called nissen fundoplication laproscopic procedure for my GERD (acid reflux i had to stay in the hospital for just a day and i half i was sore that killed and i still have problems with my stomach till this day they think it my gallbladder and not lift anything for two weeks.for two weeks ive been on a liquid diet since it hurts to eats solids

@fyresdotter My acid reflux and heartburn has gotten worse and if I eat certain things I get stomach cramps and end up in the bathroom all day!

Very interesting! Thank you for sharing! I hope you feel 100% soon! Glad you got it taken out after hearing about what it looked like. FOUR incisions?! WOW! How do you compare this surgery to having a C-section as far as pain and recovery?

@dreamflight6000 That is a really good question! I meant to mention this and totally forgot! The csection was def worse than this surgery. It took me 3 weeks to recover fully and here it is day 4 and I am almost fully recovered :) The pain from the csection was more painful and the only incision that is hurting or sore right now is the belly button one. It has been hard getting in and out of bed just like it was with my csection but it is def less painful. I did experience more nausea though

I feel your pain. When they did my ultrasound and looked at my gallbladder it was like this panic went over the tech's face. Apparently my pussfilled things 3 of them popped. I think the second day was worse as well. PLus the fact that i had a breastfeeding baby on me the day after as well was worse. Did they have you completely naked? I woke up naked and was shocked cause i remember having a gown on haha. Plus the stuff they covered me in was not iodine it was blue. HAHA I was smurfed.

@nickiweb21 I had the blue and the orange! I also had the blue with my csection it got all over my boppy pillow!!!! I was pretty mad about that lol. Oh no thats horrible they popped! i had my gown still on thank god for that because I work in the surgery dept I had my gallbladder done at. So it was my coworkers taking care of me. It was a little embarassing some saw me naked though. Did you have emergency gallbladder surgery?
