@allenelwood I also grew up near their shop, in Granada Hills CA. Like you, I only came to appreciate his music much later in life. Would've been great to meet them!

I grew up next door to Wes and Marilyn, and his son Matt was one of my best friends. But I never had the chance at so young an age to appreciate Wes' work. Man, what a treat at age 55 to hear this! Really incredible. I tried to post a link to the story of Marilyn giving this guitar to Doug, but I guess utube doesn't allow links in posts.
