Pregnant Cat Giving Birth to First Kitten

This is my kitty, Starbuck, giving birth to her first kitten. She ended up having 6 kittens, but the first was the only one that seemed really painful to her, where she made noise. We tried to be quiet and calm, but we were freaking out a bit too :p

@mimidukba81 Starbuck started going into labor around 7pm and she labored late into the night.. we had to go to sleep because it was after midnight, but she also had six kittens!

Thank you for not getting involved in the birth. Too often owner rip the kittens out which causes a rift between kitten and mother.

When my cat had kittens I didn't touch her when she was actually giving birth, she crawled out of her box and hand them on the floor. I put a couple of large towels on the floor and she clawed along the floor, she trusted me enough to move the kittens once they were born into the cat basket that is made for kittens to sleep in along with mum:) it has an imprent in the bed where mum lies when they are feeding so she is more comfortable. She feeds the kittens more often then when she is out of it.
