Wow, she was a diva. All true divas go through their thing...from Judy Garland to Whitney. You don't have a diva crown unless you have drama surrounding your life.

The English woman is bitter, jealous and petty. According to her Piaf should have stopped appearing in public when she started to age. What an ignorant, unbelievable comment.

Do not speak for all of us yanks. I respect and revere her voice. Her music was even used in the American movie Saving Private Ryan.
She understood the human heart. This is more important than understanding Americans, French, or otherwise.

Dude, this biography has made me almost as big a fan of Margaret Crosland (English lady biographer) as I am of Piaf. :P
