A Magical Day at Disneyland Paris - Une journée magique à Disneyland Paris

On the occasion of the Walt Disney Studios Park anniversary, and to celebrate the upcoming Disney Magical Moments Festival opening on April 6th, Disneyland Paris is releasing a never-before-seen video of the DLP resort, shot using the amazing "Tilt Shift" technique.

The tilt-shift technique takes photographs, usually from high vantage points, using selective focus and perspective control to give the impression of a miniture model. All the photographs are then stitched together and edited to create the illusion of a short movie. Post production will then do the rest, oversaturating colours to reinforce the model impression, working on contrasts and even further blurring images.

"A Magical Day at Disneyland Paris" shows vignettes of both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, including favourite attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain or the new rides in Toy Story Playland, shows and daily parades, including the Fantillusion Parade, from sunrise to nighttime entertainment and fireworks.

More than 125.000 still photographs were taken during the shoot in the parks, although only 4.000 were used in the final edit, over a period of seven months.

A l'occasion de l'anniversaire du Parc Walt Disney Studios et pour célébrer l'arrivée du Festival des Moments Magiques Disney le 6 avril prochain, Disneyland Paris présente une extraordinaire vidéo réalisée sur le principe du "Tilt Shift".

La technique du tilt-shift fait appel à de très nombreuses photographies prises de points de vue élevés et utilisant des focales différentes pour donner l'impression de filmer une maquette. Les photos sont ensuite rassemblées et le montage donne l'illusion d'un court métrage.

La post-production fait le reste, saturant les couleurs, renforçant les contrastes ou créant un fou artificiel pour accentuer l'aspect de modèles réduits.

"Une journée magique à Disneyland Paris", est un assemblage de vignettes des Parcs Disneyland et Walt Disney Studios, comprenant de grandes attractions telles que Big Thunder Mountain ou les nouveautés de Toy Story Playland, des spectacles de jour et de nuit, la parade Fantillusion, des feux d'artifices... un tableau impressionniste, capturé du lever au coucher de soleil.

Etendu sur une période de 7 mois, le tournage exigea plus de 125.000 prises de vues, dont 4.000 furent utilisées pour la version finale.

ive been to disneyland paris and its amazing. its so beautiful i love how the castle dosent copy one of the others but takes its own beautiful design. i love the space mountain and indiana jones. i think its an amazing park and its one of my favorite parks of all time. i wish i could go again.
