I've had two, 1 male 1 female. Training is an ongoing lifelong process, they are very intelligent and have a mind of their own. Like a child, if they do something once and decide they enjoy it will become part of the everyday routine.
They are very rewarding companions that are an whole lot of fun, but require a lot of attention, they don't like to be left alone if you go to work everyday.

Our Welsh's are the Best!! Everyone should have one. They are so intelligent
and faithful buddies. They are heart breakers. Most gentle and loving friend.
So entertaining. Little comedians and in demand all the time. Alll our freinds love
the welsh's. Grandma can't keep her hugs off of them.

Haha I love this! My welsh terrier does this for like 10 minutes each morning.
You made my day! Clever, clever! Excellent narration and your dog is adorable! My husband and I are thinking about getting a Welsh Terrier--- how are they as pets?

Sorry for the late response. Ive had a few dogs in my life and I can truly say that Welshs are the BEST! I originally wanted a larger terrier (Pit bull) but my wife wasnt going for it so we settled on a welsh. I would highly recommend a Welsh for anyone. Theyre smart, full of energy, good with kids (most of the time) and they look GREAT! Good luck in your search.

You did make me smile! Does he do this routine all on his own, or is he following instructions? We lost our beloved Welsh terrier to kidney disease in 2007 and we miss him so much. Best dog ever, and he made friends everywhere we went.

Thanks for the comment. Sorry to hear about your Welsh.
My dog isnt coached. He really does this stretch routine just about every morning before I go to work. The only dog Ive ever had that does this.
