@DRMFREEZONE Yes, we could do without those hassles in modern gaming, that's for sure. I don't tend to play the latest games on PC, mostly because my machines just can't handle it, so I don't experience many of these hassles. Still, console games are often released buggy, then patched later, which I think is unprofessional practice and shouldn't happen.

@DRMFREEZONE I think now is a great time to be a gamer. We have massive blockbuster releases that have incredibly huge budgets that would have been impossible ten years ago, we have small indie developers thriving and creating unique games again, and we can look back and play all the old classics too. I wouldn't change a thing.

@thejoyofsticks the small screen is going to hurt the eye no matter what it just all that test in a rpg that gets to you

@cyrus649 Huh, that's interesting, I thought it might be the other way round: hard to see quick action on a small screen, but slower paced stuff would be ok. That's food for thought.

the Micro is nice and bright, great for arcade games but not so good your rpgs. due to the very small text that seems to hurt my eyes after a bit. I hope this helps.
Maybe go for the Backlit Gameboy SP (Model AGS-101). Same bright screen as micro (but bigger) and it can also play the original Gameboy/Colour games. There are usually some on Ebay UK for around the same price as a Micro.

@lilacfloyd Oops, too late! Check out my latest package vid. ;)
I might see if I can have a look at the backlit SP in the flesh. If the screen is of a similar (excellent) quality but bigger, I might have to get one of those as well.

@lilacfloyd Thanks for the link. It looks very cool, perhaps it could be the system for playing GBA games at home. The micro is great for me - slips in the pocket nicely.
The only problem is it just isn't very comfortable playing an SP. If only there was a standard GBA with that screen!
