This is a copy, in satin, of my wife's jersey wedding dress.I felt I just couldn't wear her dress, so I made this one, improving it by using satin and shortening the skirt and making it a 'full circle' dress.I think the result is wonderful. I feel so feminine and at peace with the world when I wear it.

  • wow....did you make this

  • Yes...It wasn't as hard as it looks. The hardest part was the waistband with the ties at the sides. The bodice was two fairly simple shapes and the neckline and sleeves were originally simply a casing with elastic- Later I redesigned the neck with the satin band. The skirt was simply a full circle of satin.

But it was my first real attempt at copying a dress and took me a long time.Thank you for the compliment

  • Yay really cute. why couldn't wear wife's wedding dress? (if you don't mind my asking. don't have to say if you don't want.) ^_^

  • I don't mind.while my wife accepts my crossdressing, she's not not really that thrilled about it, so I keep it to myself, not showing her my 'femme'self.I make it a point not to wear her stuff, and I think for me to dress up in an item of such personal and emotional significance to her just wouldn't be 'right',if you get my drift.

    Hugs, Michelle
