thats not the correct form to do the swap you don't have to knock the chassis it will fit well

dam bro i got a mk2 golf wanna do a vr6 swap... i got a passat vr6 as a donor...
i'll post some pics for my profile.. it hurts just seen it park.. winter is coming so i need the passat for the winter.. any advise or tips im open for any sudgestions...

How much do you think it would cost to swap a 2.0 automatic to a 5spd? well, i know someone who can put it in for cheap but i can't find a good tranny

About 500 bucks depending on millage. That includes tranny too. They are really cheap.

You have used a sledgehammer to knock in the chassis!?!? I know that the Jetta's original engine is lame and the sacrifice of the Passat was necessary in order for the Jetta to live again, but knocking in the chassis, yes the VR6 eng is bigger, I never seen anyone do that before. When I put a VR6 engine/trans in my Caddy pick-up, I didn't knock the chassis and the engine bay is roughly the same size as the Jet.

It was actually an inch away WITH the chassis bent in.
