I say make it mainstream. The reason because then more people will hear some good music for a change and maybe they will realize how shitty some of the mainstream artists are now. Most mainstream artists cant play live for shit and these guys can thats whats awesome. So what does it matter if its mainstream as long as they dont change their sounds and sell out which I wouldnt say they are doing. Music is played to be heard.

    Adding...

But, of course, there are, very few albeit, exceptions to the rule, like Sonic Youth and Beck and a few other artists.

Exactly. Except the problem with mainstream music and major record companies is that they make the people on their labels adapt their sound a certain way. I forgot who said it but they said there is a specific formula they want artists to follow. That's why who said it decided they weren't going mainstream.

I can't stand it, I actually logged in to express this bubbling need to point out the obvious. Mainstream, popular, top 10, hot, all of it is nonsense. I don't think you even need to try to keep this from becoming mainstream because being mainstream is actually a genre of itself. You can't become mainstream, you start by writing terrible music for masses of really stupid people and they cling to it because it looks nice and is made in a major key almost always.

ummm, what? The average number of views on any of their videos is in the 100,000s. This video is one of the more popular ones actually. They're not that popular. Over a million views, then I'll consider them popular on a national level.

Everybody this is a good band unlike today's crappy pop music this song actually has a meaning to it like finding your fear it actually makes sense unlike rap music talking about how they got a new shoes for 2 minutes
