My friend from high school past away in a car accident. He was someone that was looked up to by a lot of people. I dedicate this song to him and to the fact of how much his life impacted others with his confident energy.
Josiah the Peon:
Me and Josiah worked together. And one time when we were on the job he got frustrated with one of the managers. It involved how me and him were mistreated unfairly by one of the higher up employees. Josiah was the type of person that didn't tolerate social unfairness, I would say. So he wanted to somehow make things go accordingly to the fair rule he had in mind. He called his dad at work in the back office during business hours to figure this out, holding his job at stake. His dad explained to him how he was a "peon of the industry" and that no matter how unfair the higher employees treat you they're still "higher employees". I remember me and him sitting in the back office talking to each other about how messed up it was that things really worked like this in the real world (17 and 18 at the time). And he mentioned how much easier the workplace would be if these pedestals weren't setup, and different standards of authority were leveled so we could all just work together and not battle together.
