Recorded live in concert 1 December 2007. The prelude, courante, sarabande, and gavotte from Joseph Bodin de Boismortier's troisième suite en G Ré Sol, tierce mineure from Six Suites de Pièces, Op. 35, 1731, played by Rob Turner. He is using his own reconstruction of a flute by Eichentopf, ca. 1720. Pitch is a=ca. 395, or almost a whole tone below modern. Thank you for watching!

  • This performer has a charming way with phrases with lovely swells and unpredictable turns of phrases in this rhetoric that take one out on a magic carpet ride better than any pharmacopia. The instrument is a lovely blend of blues and saffrons.

  • Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Blues and saffrons - wonderful!
