Again, this is a film based on a chapter in Jared Diamond's book, "Guns, Germs and Steel". The film is a kid's documentary explaining why only certain animals could be domesticated before modern times. Zebras can be domesticated today, but people who didn't didn't have modern technology (i.e. metal fences, sedatives, etc), found the species as a whole too ill tempered to be successfully domesticated.

actually, zebras have been domesticated for about 200 years. I know several people who ride them without trouble. Horses are just like zebras in tempermant if they are wild. It just goes away through domestication and a couple hundred years of breeding.
