I saw the episode in which Clay was there and she did nothing but degrade Clay the entire day. Her speech of respect is laughable. Not to mention she's a hypocrite She herself has put her hands over Regis's mouth several times throughout the years.

Rosie was way out of line with her commentary and Kelly rightfully called her out for it. More to the point, Clay Aiken was simply out of line in covering Kelly's mouth with his hand, in spite of the fact that he may have been trying to be harmlessly funny. The fact that Rosie would try to make it an issue about sexuality is shameful. Furthermore, she had an opportunity to offer Kelly a sincere apology, but instead she tried to defend her distasteful comments.

I think Rosie is super wrong. I'm a gay man and I wouldn't want Clay's hands over my mouth!! It's absolutely not a gay issue. I wouldn't want anybody, who I don't know that well, to put their hand over my mouth. Now, if my friend did it, I would be ok with it... but someone I don't know that well, I would have put them in their place just like Kelly did. Kelly Ripa is totally in the right and Rosie needs to keep her nose in her own business and keep her "this is gay hate" comments to herself.
