i'm still confused how to find "R" if i'm using atm am i always going to get 0.0821?

@IcySilverScenic If the pressure units are in atm, then the number for R that you use is always going to be 0.0821. If this still doesn't quite make sense, watch my video "Ideal Gas Law Practice Problems," and it should become clear. If you have questions after that, let me know.

but can't you just convert the mmHG and the kilopascals into atm.

@markdiesel16 absolutely! so there are two ways to do it: you can convert into atm or use the different value for R. choose whatever method you like best.
