Opinion and journalism are two different things and no one knows this better than Ardeshir Cowasjee, Pakistans most influential columnist. The grand old man of Sunday print, Cowasjee has taken on democrats and dictators, land-grabbers and NGOs, and aristocrats and bureaucrats. Probably one of the most outspoken yet most mysterious, even eccentric news man of our times, Cowasjee and Wajahat S. Khans face-off in this Episode 7 of TalkBack pits one old-schooler versus another new-age journalist.

  • Wajahat is sounding like a complete tool in this interview. He is doing a pathetic immitation of Bill O'Reilly. For whatever reason he has a problem with Cowasjee giving him straight forward answers to retarded questions that Wajahat is asking him. For once you have a guest who is being straight up with you and not feeding you the general BS, and you keep probing him with "IS THAT FAIR AND BALANCE"? You sound like a whiney little girl...

  • Cowasjee is the stalwart. He should be devising policies of Pakistan. Instead, Bhutto hurt him bad. He survived. Pity this country does not care for its great citizens. Imagine more than 5 millions of its citizens are outside slaving to remit huge sums for these idiots. The intelligentsia of the country is outside serving its enemies. Its politicians are corrupt; its folks are poor, ignorant & powerless. It is time forgotten country.

  • cowas jee truthfullnes is unbearable

  • @pakireb Totaly agreed..lolss. It is funny they you put it but it is true.

  • @swetlillies Actually O'Reilly has a pretty loyal fanbase, but it usually consists of people that have the IQ of a door knob. In this particular case it was bad planning on Dawn's part to even let some one like Wajahat breathe the same air as cowasjee. Get a senior journalist to engage in a proper conversation with the man... who can ask open ended questions and not keep repeating "IS THAT FAIR AND BALANCED".

  • @pakireb You are absolutly right but doesn't this fool know that O'Reilly is stupid and people don't even like him. As he said pin head...lols

  • Cowasjee is amazing. Very smart man. What Pakistan needs a fair election system. People should have option to reject all the candidates from there constituency as well as they elect from there constituency. A voter should have third option to reject all those candidates. Or elect one if they chose it fit.

  • My God! Buddhey mein kya ka dam hai

  • Ermmm who is this Wajahat Khan? Such a fake and obviously lacking in both hair and intelligence. Wajahat sounds like fag, looks like one as well. Its because if twits like this Wajahat that Pakistan is a failed state doomed to be either destroyed by India or the Afghanis. His probably a lover of Billi-wal hence why he is being so rude to Cowasjee. Idiot.

  • Ermmm who is this Wajahat Khan? Such a fake and obviously lacking in both hair and intelligence. The guy sounds like fag, looks like one as well.

  • Here we go again, Wajahat instead of displaying your aggression as a hardcore journalist with little respect of what is left of truthfulness of Mr Cowasjee is hard to swallow indeed. Learn from the master of his craft and use your shrewd thinking towards that religion and state cant go hand in hand ..Pakistan has been a victim of such abuse for a very long time and the army has been bailing us all out for a quite some time. Here I gave some pearls as a food for thought....LOL
