I am 61 now. We LIVED for our local band to play this at dances. We didn't need booze or drugs to get high on this stuff. Getting old is not for sissies!

This is THE version of Louie Louie for me. I'm 64 and I was there...The Sonics, the Wailers, The Viceroys, Merilee Rush and the Turnabouts, Tiny Tony and the Statics, even Paul Revere and the Raiders all playing at the Spanish Castle in Tacoma and Parkers Ballroom on Aurora Ave on the northside of Seattle; sometimes in the same night! I remember being bummed out when the admission price at Parkers skyrocketed to a whopping $1.25! What a hoot!
