  • Hi! It looks really great! I went through the comments and the self confidence issues as well. I just had it done at mass eye and ear. I had no clue St. Joe's did it as well! How are things a year later?! Good for you!

  • @jthor3277 It wasn't directly through St. Joes. Dr Chen from Nashua Eye Associates (also mass eye and ear) did the surgeries. I can't say enough good things about her. She was fantastic. A year later, my eyes are doing awesome. I was actually just fitted and received my first pair of contacts today! For the first time ever, it's not painful to have them in. Had in the past but dr's always tried to talk me out of it because of the strabismus & I'd later find out painfully why.

  • Did you have your inner or outer muscles worked on for the second surgery? My surgery was on 3/9/11 and both my eyes have a slight turn outwards after surgery. I had Bilateral Strabismus Surgery and after my 1 week post op visit my doctor said he may have to do the inner muscles to correct that problem. Is that normal? Thanks and your eyes look wonderful!

  • @blessedwvision Sorry I didn't get the notification about this earlier. :( I hope by now the surgery has been done and was a great success. I had both inner & outward muscles worked on with both surgeries. The first surgery resulted in a severe inward turn (over correction) that the surgeon later corrected beautifully.

  • Hey, just wanted to say thanks for posting these videos. We have a child that's gonna be getting bilateral surgeries done. Hope you're doing well! You're eyes look great!

  • @squeegified1 Thank you :) Good luck to your child, I am sure the results will be fanastic. I'd love to hear how it goes.
