I had to think about this situation before I commented because I wanted to let my emotions calm down. I am completely disgusted with the actions of these athletes. Not only is it a sad and pathetic show of sportsmanship, but it shows my son, a nine year old hockey player for the Dr Pepper Dallas Stars House League who has been following all the playoffs, that his 'role models' are nothing but over grown toddlers. Violence is never the answer. These guys need to be charged with criminal assault.

@designvisibility Criminal assault? How is this worse than football? People fight all the time in football and never makes the news. Players fight in the NHL all the time. I encourage your son to play hockey. It is a great sport. But my point it that hockey IS A SPORT. Sports by their very nature are violent. Injuries happen all the time. If your son sees an NFL or NHL fight on TV and still loves the sport, I doubt this fight would have changed his mind. - A Martin Player
