@horseplop9 The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration argues that seat belts aren't the most effective way to protect passengers on school buses. Instead the big yellow beasts employ something called "compartmentalization."Plus I highly doubt any bus driver can get 20-30 kids to all buckle up if they did have seat belts on a bus.

the bus is a tank man strongest thing ever, still havent figured out why they dont have safety belts though

I have even seen tv commercials with law officers saying that there are no excuses or exceptions for not wearing a seatbelt and that it saves lives.

Although, mention this( install seatbelts ) to your school board and see how many excuses you receive.

You will be surprised.

I have even heard one say " do you know how much this could cost"....?

I thought seatbelt importance was about saving lives, not the cost!

Who even cares how much, if it can save childrens lives install them now! !

Another very good reason for an enhanced seatbelt law that should include seatbelts for these buses in the event of a terrible crash as this one. Without seatbelts the children go airborn and suffer trauma. Many of the children in this accident would not have had to suffer broked bones had they had a simple safety device as a seatbelt. I do understand some states have seatbelts on their school buses.

Mention this( install seatbelts ) to your school board and see how many excuses you receive.

This is like a mile away from my house.. I have friends that go to that school.

There was a dance at the high school and some students couln'd unfortunatley couln't go. My family was freaking out asking if i was on that bus. =/
