My congratulations to Canada for joining the international tide of visa-free travel for members of the EU. Once we Americans get rid of George Bush, perhaps the United States of America will follow Canada's lead.

Firstly, it's spelt "beautiful" and you're right it IS a beautiful country. As for RD tasered at the Vancouver airport, he didn't proceed with the rest of the passengers after obtaining his baggage - instead proceeding to become violent after a few hours. He smashed a few computers and a desk, was throwing chairs, and that's when the RCMP came in. He was tasered for a reason. Plus, he had a criminal record and a history of alcoholism. Still, I hope he rests in peace - he shouldn't have died.

Not necessarily- Poland's economy is doing really well and one of the big reasons why the visa waiver was dropped in the first place is because most Poles see their situation at home improving and are losing the need to emmigrate. Or so says a non-Polish observer :).
