Lesson 7: The Alphabet
These are REAL lessons. No actors. No scripts. A real learning experience. Do you know a friend or family member who needs to learn English? Tell them they can learn along with Natasha as I teach her the basics of the English language.
I will not be posting captions (subtitles) on these early lessons. I want beginners to develop their listening skills. I will write all important information on the board.
Happy Studies to all!

In these first lessons, I use no subtitles. I want the learning experience to be very much like it would be in a classroom. However, later in this series, I change the format of the videos and I don't use entire lessons with Natasha. I use only parts of our lessons. At that point, I begin to use captions/ subtitles. In most of my other videos for upper level students, I use captions. See, for example, my series on Verb Tenses. Thanks for making my videos part of your studies! Regards!

Jennifer: Thank you for your good work. I have added many of your videos to my channel, which features useful lessons by English teachers. I refer students of English, especially ESL and EFL students, to my channel, and I would like you to know how greatly I appreciate all your efforts to teach clearly and simply. Your series with Natasha is a boon for all beginners. Press on with your teaching. Many are being helped.

It's a mistake according to the traditional thought that writers should not split an infinitive. "Quickly" can be placed at the end of of the sentence: "...to leave the area quickly." However, some think it's not a mistake or an example of poor writing if only a single adverb separates the infinitive and does not disrupt the flow. The example that is famous to most Americans is "To boldly go where no one has gone before." It's the mission of Star Trek (TV show).

Jennifer, I have a question. Please help me. Find the mistake in this sentence and correct it. " Since a storm was coming, we decided to quickly leave the area." The answer says the mistake is " quickly" but I don't understand the reason and how it should be corrected.
