Located on the corner of Henry Street and Daniel Morgan Avenue in downtown Spartanburg, the Hub City Art Park was formerly a vacant lot with overgrown weeds and debris clutter, the nearly one-half acre lot has been transformed into a small wooded park.
There are opportunities for temporary & permanent sculpture installations scattered throughout the woodland area. The central element in the plaza is a sculpture created by Michael Baker and clever and whimsical inscriptions on granite markers are scattered through the park.
The walkways join at a three-circuit labyrinth celebrating the heart of the park. This paver labyrinth features detailing from the 800-year-old labyrinth from the famous Chartres Cathedral in France.
