AFTER INNOCENCE tells the dramatic and compelling story of the exonerated - innocent men wrongfully imprisoned for decades and then released after DNA evidence proved their innocence. The film focuses on the gripping story of seven men and their emotional journey back into society and efforts to rebuild their lives. Include are a police officer, an army sergeant and a young father sent to prison and even death row for decades for crimes they did not commit.
The film premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Prize, and also won top awards at the Seattle Film Festival, Boston Independent Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, and Full Frame Documentary Festival. The film was released theatrically by New Yorker Films before being broadcast on Showtime. AFTER INNOCENCE was shortlisted for the 78th Academy Awards.
In many countries, when you bring forward evidence like this, they smile and say in the gentlest sweetest tones, "Oh deary. We know you're innocent. We want you to die." Then they smack you over the head with a police club.

I almost cried that night seriously, the whole world was watching and we executed an innocent man. I was disgusted. I've joined Amnesty International....I need to save money but I figure if we can help the cause we might as well chip in. Hope all is well with you and Happy new Year!

@peace378ify no prob. and def not. I didn't even know you could friend people on youtube but was receiving requests from people I did not even know which I usually decline. @constablekelly me too. how could they do that to this man even with all this new evidence saying he didn't do it? im not sure if there are any rallies around here though--not too many people know or even care what's happening here i don't think. but good for you for stepping up to do the right thing. i wish there were more people like you!
