Virginia: No More Coal!

Another new coal plant is being planned in Surry County, Virginia, which would spew 15 million tons of global warming pollution—the equivalent of adding three million new cars to our roads per year. Because of the extreme threat of global warming to Virginias coasts, ecosystems and economy, the Chesapeake Climate Action Network is working to stop the new coal plant and move Virginia toward a green economy. first of all, you use just plain wrong statistics. cars in america polute 50% more than coal plants. second if you really think solar will power an entire state, thats fine. a solar kit for a house is about 30 grand. that will produce more than enough power in the spring and fall, but not enough in the winter or summer. so i hope you really like being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. good luck with wind, you guys are in w low wind section of the USA.

Stop Coal and enjoy lack of power and/or brownouts. Stop reading the junk science and get a grip on reality. Wind and Solar WILL NOT replace Coal any time soon. Well unless you want to devote the entire state of Montana to wind turbines and solar farms. Inefficient, Expensive and not practical!

Stop burning coal before burning coal stops us! Renewable energy is the only way to stop global climate change. 'Clean coal' is an oxymoron.
