@enemdy Dot (Camilla Belle)'s father was deaf. He died shortly before this story takes place. Therefore, Dot must go and live with relatives. Dot has always pretended to be deaf. It's easier for her. On the surface, her new family seems perfectly normal, but in reality, the daughter is sleeping w/ the father and the mother appears to be sick and a drug addict. This is the story of Dot building a relationship w/ her new family and rescuing Elisha Cuthbert from her father. It's fantastic!!
