Manatee The sleepy beauty.

Manatees are gentle and slow moving animals. Most of their time is spent eating, resting, and traveling. Manatee are mostly herbivorous, however small fish and invertebrates can sometimes be ingested along with a manatee's normal vegetation diet. They eat a large variety of submerged, emergent, and floating plants and can consume 10-15% of their body weight in vegetation daily.




Los manatíes son animales apacibles y de lento movimiento. La mayor parte de su tiempo se dedica a comer, descansar y viajar. Manatíes son en su mayoría herbívoros, los peces pequeños e invertebrados sin embargo a veces puede ser ingerido junto con la dieta de un manatí vegetación normal. Comen una gran variedad de sumergidas, plantas emergentes y flotantes y pueden consumir el 10-15% de su peso corporal en vegetación al día.
