if its not your hobby you wont understand but its not the value of the find its the hunt itself.its about finding something someone else lost.holding in your hand something nobody has touched for a couple hundred years.the history and the time away from the world.and a great time to clear the mind and cut your fingers and get your knees wet.happy hunting all.

Hi Mike, like the show, just bought a garrett 150 for a bit of fun and i;m finding all sorts its great, i can feel your zeal for the detecting, i live near Penzanace, are you in Cornwall.

Nice finds,I live in the USA an have been detecting going on 12 yrs.I have found more than I could ever ask for over the yrs.But I think the biggest issue for me here in the USA is getting permission to hunt on old ground.

i bought a metal detector about 4 months ago 4 £80 quid or $90 dollars i used it once and gave it away coz it was crap i want a mine lab one if any1 knows who is selling 1 give us a bell please i am just fancinated wot are ancestors lived like and all the history

Hey i hope you could help me out with this question.. im going to buy my first metal detector but i dont know which one to choose between the fisher f2 or the garrette ace 250 or any other brand that is other 300 dollars. I want one that picks up real good signal and one thats good with finding silver and gold. I dont really know much about metal detecting so can you please help me out here if you can.. anybody
