Let It Snow (ovah deah)

We're having a fun-filled Christmas season and we're not missing any of the snowy charms of a traditional winter festival. Kailua is as lovely and pleasant in December as in June, and we're enjoying every minute of it. Of course it's friends that make the fun and we're lucky to have some great ones here.

We do miss our friends back on the mainland, and wish them all the happiest of holiday seasons, but really, folks, 75 and sunny in Kailua or a more traditional cold, blowy, icy, snowy season back there?? Not so bad around the Bay Area, but we have friends and relatives in Colorado and New Jersey and Philadelphia and plenty of other cold places. This one is especially for you!

I shot the main clip using a Sanyo Xacti HD2000. B-roll shot on a Panasonic Lumix TS-2 waterproof point-and-shoot. Audio recorded using a Sony PCM-D50. All editing in Edius Neo.

@hrlarson HR, sorry to hear you're not getting your snow. Kailua isn't quite as idyllic as my video might try to make it. We had one day of fierce VOG from Hawai`i Island - burning eyes, headaches, and barely able to see the sky. But one day of tradewinds cured all that.
