This is a childhood favorite! I remember going to grade school in the mid 70's and seeing this film over & over because all the kids in class always requested it. A young boy finds out he shares his new house with an old witch. She whips him up a batch of her magic blueberry pancakes. Once eaten they cause a flurry of colored dots to appear before your eyes. And they make you very, very happy. If you remember this from your childhood you just have to see it again - it really holds up!

I thought I had dreamed this movie because no one else my age remembers it. I was convinced that I had seen this every year in school along with The Red Balloon and another movie about a donut shop and someone lost a ring in the batter and they had to eat all these donuts to find it. At least I know I'm not crazy...

@zombieeatpeople That was another kids film called "THE DOUGHNUTS" (based on Homer Price story). I also have that on dvd if you're interested. j4hi.com
