Boy did Schumacher and Ferrari get lazy at the end of 2004... all the those spins, mistakes and troubles. They paid the price in 2005, thank goodness.

that was the reason they ruled 1 tire supplier only to all teams; Bridgestone, now Pirelli.

they stopped updating the car because they already clinched both driver and constructor titles. They started development on the 2005 car. only reason they lacked speed was because of limit on testing which did not let them develop tires which were to last the ENTIRE race (2005 rule; 1 set of tires only). Ferrari, minardi and jordan were the only ones using Michelin; Michelin only had those 3 teams to test their tires, while Bridgestone had 8 teams to test their better tire.
