it's amazing to me that she didn't do any research on the life of fanny brice when she got the part but I understand why she didn't. She needed to approach the role in a way that was not influenced by the work of those who knew fanny as well as her family. She did a wonderful job. It helped that Barbara was the same age that fanny was when she became a star on stage.
I'm sitting here in the library with tears in my eyes. I have many inspirations in music, but there is NO ONE that moves me as much as this woman, and I'm so grateful for this piece that you have posted. Thank you.
