  • I saw Avatar in IMAX 3d, and the ghosting was noticeable, especially when the camera pans left or right quickly. I would line up to watch Avatar 2 in 48fps or 60fps.

  • was that tobias funke?

  • Make it 72fps! :)

  • @xAMPUTECHTx the human eye catches at about 70 fps (anything above that looks the same). We are just used to 24 fps is all. Ever go into best buys and see those high hrtz tvs running and the picture is super silky smooth. Or think of like any new Call of Duty game. Its just really really smooth.

  • I don't get it. 24fps is used because it gives a much more filmic look than say 30fps. I just don't see how anything higher would be desirable. I guess I'd just have to see it.

  • Yeah its pretty dumb how all movies play at around 20-30 fps.

  • @epicftw *exasperated* oh! you liek?

  • or 72fps

  • because then epic movies look like daytime soaps.

  • A mix between digital projection and Doug Trumbull's SHOWSCAN would be great !
