Reptile and Pilgrim were two of Clapton's best albums at that particular time of his career, in my opinion.

eric just never caught my attension except for tears in heaven and the aucoustic version of layla. but this song feels like a blend of so many different things. its got like a genesis and pink floyd style lyrics (those from the division bell and we cant dance) nd the dark music fit perfectly. great great song. it has given me a new feel for eric clapton that involves love and respect
