Recorded in 1985 at the Hotel Riviera, Habana, Cuba.

You'll see a very young Horacio El Negro Hernandez checking out Changuito's bell and timbal work on this Merengue-Songo (he's the one with the big grin just behind Chani).
It starts with a taste of the previous tune and ends early because of a file-error but I have the whole thing somewhere.

Check out Horacio (El Negro) Hernandez at about 5:40 He's right behind Changuito's campanas (bells) and gets a huge grin during the break-down section.

He was playing earlier on the same night with Gonzalo Rubalcaba y Proyecto. I think he was about 17 at the time? He played just a great as ever, of course, super relaxed and cookin'.

(I'll try to get some of the video of Gonzalo up too...have to transfer from VHS...)

wow que Rumbon tan Chevere no soy Cubano pero los Van Van es lo Maximo en la Timba y Musica Cubana . esos Gusanos Hijueputas de Miami no saben lo que se pierden . aqui en San Francisco California donde Vivo LA Timba es muy popular en los Clubs de Salsa los Van Van vinieron a San Francisco este ano pero me lo perdi ojala regresen .
