The sultry secretary style and makeup looks that Mad Mens Joan Holloway epitomises is showcased in this original archive film from the 1950's . The whole film glows with that peaches
and cream hue of the 1950's. These women would still turn heads today.
We see women touching up their makeup, nails, hair and stockings in the powder room at the office. This could be straight out of an episode of Mad Men.Is that Peggy Olsen lighting a cigarette ?.
Priceless and charming fashion film.

  • 0:40 wow....gorgeous

  • @jakevanfan I know right? And right at the moment where the song goes "make her complexion like peaches and cream" :d

  • @kbs1212 it's some kind of fake hair, you roll your own hair around it and then tie the points to each other to make a.. how to say that in english... knot? ehmm..well it's just some ugly, gross hair elastic.

  • Smoking....aahhh silly vintage women :)

  • 0:53 What in the world is that?

  • Such great packaging but I'm not sure if any of us could handle the texture and wear of that makeup. Still glamorous though.

  • these women made smoking look glamorous
