He steps and holds on to Manny's foot to keep him from moving aside. The announcers (including Amir Kahn) acknowledge Juan stepping on Manny's foot during the fight. Clever tactic to keep Manny in front, but still dirty. Also, these particular tactics can also cause some strain on Manny's feet and legs since it may prevent him from maneuvering his body properly. This was done several times throughout the match.

@JAYANAHEIM marquez did not win straight out what fight where you watching? I suggest you watch the fight again and turn the volume down. Alot of marquezs punches missed and were blocked by pacquiao. Also everytime marquez threw a punch the mexican fans cheered which made it feel as if marquez was winning. Alot of the rounds were very close but i had manny winning by one point at the end. Great effort by marquez and possibly a draw would have been a fairer result

this is very normal in boxing ..and pacquiao did it first in the 1st round and during the whole fight too. why there is only videos of marquez steeping pacquiao foot ..pacman was brutalized by marquez .he just won because is the business ..during alot of time he refused to fight because is afraid of marquez ..not even with steroids can win
